“I want to make slaves of my students” is the regrettable statement made by the Secretary of the school Mr Peter. On Friday 9 th September 2022, I went to the school to meet the teachers of my child to discuss his performance. A very humble and respectful teacher Ms Nagalakshmi attended to us and started the discussion. Mr Peter joined us during this discussion. All of a sudden the gatekeeper intervened and started shouting aggressively at my son to stand properly. All of us including the teacher and Mr Peter had no objection and this guy at the gate had a problem. I objected to his aggression, reminded him that it’s not his duty and asked him to convey it politely and in a civil manner. The gatekeeper realized his mistake and apologized for it. Mr Peter (secretary) instead of reprimanding the rude behavior of the gatekeeper, encouraged him saying that he has authorized the gatekeeper to shout at the students. I tried to explain Mr Peter that this way he is killing the self confidence of the young students and children will grow as timid, weak, frightened with subservient slave mentality. To this Mr Peter stated that he wants to make slaves out of his students. When I persisted that this is wrong, he claimed that he owns the institution and gave me a unsolicited advice to find another school if he doesn’t like his dictates. I expect every parent want their children to be self confident, respected and honorable citizens of the future. I hope the management is listening to the grievances of the parents and taking corrective measures.
This school is a gem, genuine educational instituition.
Other big school have many things to show off, infrastructure and uniform styling etc (my experience) but here kids are taught morals, values.
The tireless efforts and priceless energies being invested by the staff is difficult to raise and describe in words.
Teachers are quite learned and soft person!
Concept are thoroughly cleared with each student. Bravo to the management and administration.
They keep parent involvement generally low.
