The school Started in 1964. Ms. Rose Viswasam, as one of the founding members, carefully nurtured the school in its early years. Our first teacher, Mrs. Light Ebenezer, was followed by Mrs. Victoria Ravi and Mrs. Dora Chelladurai who handled the kindergarten sections. Later, Mrs. Kanambal, Mrs. Daniel, Mrs. Pushpamani, Mrs. Pushpa Rathnam, Mrs. Prema and Mrs. Padmini Thomas joined them to form a team that laid strong foundations for child-friendly teaching. Anita Methodist nurtures the learner by providing opportunities for holistic development. The learner includes both students and teachers. The school nurtures teachers which, in turn, helps nurture the children. Nurture includes influencing, character building, encouraging, motivating, and counseling. School pride is pretty much nonexistent.
Sending your child to a little distance to fetch milk used to worry me initially imagine taking this step. But on out visit we were shown how safe abd secure is the school premises. We decided then itself and enrolled.
