St. Germain High School was founded in January 1944 by Late. Rev. Thomas Pothacamury, the then Archbishop of Bangalore. The school was named after Rev. Fr. Germain, a much loved French Priest, who was on the staff of St. Joseph's High School, which incidentally had also been housed in the same premises till it was shifted to the Museum Road.The school is a private, unaided, minority educational institution, administered by the Archdiocesan Board of Education of Bangalore. The academic year of the School was from January to December. In 1978 it was changed to June to April to fall in line with the rest of the country. Being an Anglo-Indian School, it has a number of staff and students from this community. However, admission is open to Children from all religions and communities without discrimination. Excellent school!! I would definitely recommend it for parents who would like to see a positive change in their kids.
We are really surprised to see the improvemet my child has been having. Right from the teaching methods to the extra curricular activities, everything is done in a very special manner.
Both of them are shaping up into well rounded individuals, thanks to the meticulously planned curriculum, top notch mentoring and an excellent environment.
I think some of the teachers go above and beyond but some need to put in work.
I can say is this is the best place to be. Students are not only confined to books but are also encouraged for extra activities focusing on the all round development of the kid. Highly recommended!
