Nirmala Rani High School began as a middle school in 1956 and was upgraded into a High school in 1963. It is run by the congregation of the sisters of St. Joseph of Cluny. This congregation was founded by blessed Anne Marie Javouvey in 1807 in France. The Congregation is registered under Karnataka Societies Registration Act, 1960 with Reg. No. 198/76-77. Nirmala Rani High School is a minority institution. The School is Conducted mainly to give Catholic Education to catholic pupils, nevertheless the school is open to all without distinction of Caste or Creed.
