Mitralaya Girls High School originally known as London Mission School which started in the year 1842 was founded by Rev. Benjamin Rice and Mrs. Jane Rice of the London Missionary Society.The school was initially run with the generosity and sacrifices of many residents of England and was functioning as a boarding school for the local girl children of Bengaluru. After the sound foundation laid by the founders Rev. Benjamin Rice and Mrs. Jane Rice, the school steadily continued under the eminent leadership of personalities like Mrs. Muller and Miss. Bragg.
