About School
The German International School in Abu Dhabi was founded in 1976 as the German School Abu Dhabi. It was created as an "expert school" by the Strabag company. With 16 students and three teachers, teaching began in modest circumstances in the middle of what was then the desert.

Admission Process
We are pleased that you intend to enroll your child at the German International School in Abu Dhabi. The German International School in Abu Dhabi is an accredited German school abroad that offers its students a school education based on the Thuringian curriculum and leads to German school-leaving certificates. A prerequisite for admission to our school is mastery of the German language and free capacities in the respective class. Children must have reached the age of 6 by September 1st of the current calendar year in order to be enrolled in school.
