Bhavans Vidyashram, Bhimavaram was started as the first and the foremost project of Bhavan's Bhimavaram Kendra, on an auspicious day of 15th August 1983. Its sponsoring body ""The West Godavari Rice Miller's District Welfare Fund society"" came forward to provide all physical infrastructural facilities. Under the dynamic leadership and guidance of its founder Chairman (Late) Sri. K. Dharma Rao and that of the present Managing Committee, the School developed very fast in physical and academic setting. Today the School has, besides academic block, a good hostel with a capacity of accommodating 400 students, staff quarters, Indoor Stadium, Swimming Pool and playground spread over a large area. It has all provisions within the campus to meet the daily needs of the children and the best of the academic facilities. Our teachers have built the best of the Academic Environment in terms of resources made available and processes strengthened. Innovations through our ""Educational Resource Centre"" are a part of normal academic programme. Emphasis on teaching of Indian Culture and its values and synthesizing it with modern education is a special feature and this school is one of the premier institutions of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan. There are 1631 students in our Vidyashram. Out of them, 936 are Boys and 695 are Girls.
