Stewart School, Bhubaneswar is a Premier English Medium co-education School Centrally located on a wide area 20 acres in the State Capital. It has beautiful infrastructure with residential facilitates in the campus. The Diocese of Cuttack, Church of North India, administers the School through a Managing Committee. In July 8, 1960 the Foundation stone of the Stewart School, Bhubaneswar was laid down by Dr. H.K. Mohatab then Chief Minister of Odisha and the school started its journey of faith under the supervision of Rev. E.G. Collins, the first principal of the school. Mr. Collins dreamt in opening of a new Boarding house in Stewart School, Bhubaneswar and to make it the best managed hostel in the Eastern India at a time when other hostels were closing down. The motto of the Stewart School is to fulfill the all round development of the Student. The boarding house in fact is an additional glory to the School. Students from all over India used to come for better education. The Stewart School, Bhubaneswar has been growing from strength to strength with the ideals of its founder. Presently, the School boasts with 1950 students, (Kindergarden to Class12) 56 number of teaching staffs and 7 administrative staffs and 22 support staffs. The school has been furnished with all modern infrastructure and Hi-tech teaching learning materials. The School was established in 1960 under Senior Cambridge system. After the system was abolished, It came under the Council for Indian School Certificate Examination, New Delhi for ICSE Examination. The school is falling apart.
The best gift any parent can give their children is a good foundation for their educational future done within a safe environment. The staff at the school are conscientious, skillful and knowledgeable. The children academically grow in an environment that is very nurturing.
It is a matter of pride to put my child in a school where such famous people have studied. I m very happy.
