MatriKiran is an ICSE affiliated, co-educational School from Pre-Nursery to Grade 12. The 8.25 acre campus is spread over two locations – the Junior School, Sohna Road, on 2 acres, and the Senior School, Sector 83, on 6.25 acres. The Junior School, (Pre-Nursery to Grade 5) on Sohna Road, commenced its first academic session on 4th April 2011, whereas the High School at Vatika India Next, commenced on 4th April 2016. At MatriKiran, the focus is on the five facets of development – Physical, Emotional, Mental, Psychic and Spiritual. The School follows the Integral & Experiential approach towards Education and has successfully completed 10 years of operations. MatriKiran follows integration of subjects through project based experiential learning. The integrated curriculum gradually advances in degrees of specialisation at each level. In Elementary years, students are encouraged to discover the unknown and express themselves. Along with understanding of the curriculum, the focus is also on appearance, behaviour, response to the surroundings, and interest in fine arts. In Junior School, qualities such as attention span, perseverance, concentration and problem solving are developed. In the Middle School, MatriKiran promotes an investigation-based, application-oriented learning, wherein the students develop critical thinking and research skills. My children have been studying in Matrikiran high school since last 2 years. I have seen a significant change in the development of my kids . They have become more confident, competitive and happy . I see a huge difference in their personalities as well . Since the school covers all the aspects of a child’s development including emotional health and spiritual awareness, I highly recommend this school to all aspiring parents who want their children to bloom ,to come out of their inhibitions and to overcome all weaknesses per se . The environment is positive and welcoming. Thanks to the facilitators and the entire team of Matrikiran for all you do .
We are associated with Matrikiran school for the last 9 years. My son is in grade 8 and daughter in grade 2. In the school, my children have found a safe, secure and if I may add an affectionate environment. One that they dont want to miss even for a day and in which they have found their joy in learning and exploring.The transition for students from junior to senior school is quite thoughtful in Matrikiran. They manoeuvre the children to teach them the value of time, respect schools decorum and encourage them to take responsibilities. As a result the students are seen to mature with grace. Their internal marking system (which includes metrics like behaviour with fellow classmates, behaviour with teachers, attitude, posture, hygiene, adherence to rules) is an integral part of their evaluation process along with academics. This in whole helps them to groom students into well rounded individuals. The student-teacher ratio is low and as a result they are able to provide personalised attention and feedback. The subject teachers are competent and sincere and are proactive in flagging things to parents. There are open sessions held monthly where teachers invite parents to exchange feedback. Finally the way Matrikiran conducted online classes during lockdown and kept children engaged with various activities, without diluting their core philosophy, is praiseworthy.
Good school with great values and simplicity! Can do better with inculcating increased focus on sports for enhanced overall development of the wards! Security measures can be better, however no complaints or regrets on existing security parameters.
My daughter has taken the 12th boards this year and without any doubt, it has been the most enriching and life altering nine years at Matrikiran School. When she joined the school, it was just two years old and there were no reviews to rely on. The philosophy of the school appealed to us and they have adhered to it fully, in all these years. It is a conscious effort at Matrikiran to keep the students grounded and see their successes and failures as part of the learning curve. In academics, research is encouraged and rote learning is discouraged. Physical fitness of every student is given prime importance for which they have yoga and sports mandatory for all. By conducting daily circle time and closure, the facilitators ensure the mental wellbeing of every student. Consciously curated nutritious meals are provided to keep the stomachs happy. Annual days( Matri Parv) and sports meets( Khel Utsav) ensure every single child participates to the best of his/ her capabilities. Parent representatives in each grade facilitate a healthy relationship between the parents and the school, diffusing any issues that may arise on either side. Matrikiran is one of the few schools where the chairperson and the principal are very hands on, personally looking into every matter/ development in every grade. To conclude, I am a content and happy parent whose daughter has gained the life skills to face the outside world now.
Matrikiran High School is a great nurturing place for kids. They include meditation n sports in daily routine and imbibe a strong value system in students. Academics follow ICSE pattern. It is based on more practical learning and subject integrated homeworks are given on weekends. Overall a great school.
Excellent place for a child to learn not just academic stuff but even values
The school is pretty decent however, admission process was quite lengthy for my child.
Its a home away from home..and rightly so.
