School was started in 1973 by Prof. L.K. Srivastava and his wife, Late Mrs. K. Srivastava, in fond remembrance of their loving daughter, Shalini, who passed away at the tender age of four. Their goal was to impart knowledge in a systematic and holistic manner ensuring that the students could put their learning to proper use. With the help of carefully chosen staff who possessed the adequate experience and skill in their subject field, students were primed with the skills required to achieve success in any environment that they were placed in. Their dedicated and consistent efforts spoke for themselves as the School witnessed rapid growth from a rented premises to its own sprawling campus in 2001. By implementing new and futuristic technologies, Shalini School has won many laurels in a short span of time.In 2005, a hostel block was constructed in the campus and boarding facility for boys was started. Since then, another floor was added which consisted of more dormitories, rooms and a common room for recreation. In 2008, boarding facility for girls was also launched with the construction of a second dorm for girls in 2017.n 2017, more courts for basketball, badminton, cricket and volleyball were added to facilitate a better sports experience for the students. These courts are utilised by all students to practice and further their skills in their desired sports.In 2019, in collaboration with FIITJEE, the most renowned coaching institution in the country for admission to the engineering programs in IITs, NIITs, and other such colleges. An integrated program has been incorporated into the school curriculum for those who aspire to join the most prestigious engineering institutions in India.
