Sri Guru Harkrishan Sr. Sec. Public School, Sector-40-C, Chandigarh was established under the aegis of Chief Khalsa Diwan, Amritsar in 1986, rechristened Chief Khalsa Diwan Charitable Society in 2011. The School was founded in the name of the eight Guru Sri Harkrishan Sahib. The spiritual and educational philosophy of empowering the young minds is the guiding spirit of this institution. Big classrooms,well equipped Laboratories,technically designed Digital Smart board classrooms, Computer section, library and Audio visual room are always kept on updating to meet the latest demands and requirements of our students. The beautiful Nursery Corner with the latest play equipment adorns corner of the school. Divinity and Sikh history find an enlightened approach to build the character of the students. Sports and music is an important place in the school curriculum to cater the taste buds of our students zeal to excel in performing arts. It is our great pride to say that many of our students have won accolades at U.T. National and even International levels in fine arts. A Gymnasium and Mathematics laboratory have been added in 2005. There is no good and bad school in my opinion . But as a parent if this school makes my kid happy it becomes the best school for me
Apart from good teachers what I like the most about this school is their approach towards learning. It is very different from other schools.
The years spent in school are important for a child in every way. As parents it is our responsibility to provide them this opportunity. That is why I chose this school for my kid.
Be Organized. If there is no proper organization in the classroom, kids feel bored and starts to misbehave.
Decisions related to kids were always our family decisions. My in laws my parents me and my husband. This was the only school we all had a mutual liking so we are here.
