Salwan Boys Senior Secondary School is located in Rajinder Nagar, Delhi. The children get the most out of their education as they are taught by a team of 29 professional and dedicated faculties in this CBSE school.

Pt. Girdhari Lal Salwan, a visionary, vowed to impart education to the needy from all sections of society free of cost. He thereby laid the foundation of Salwan Education Trust in 1942. Through the Salwan Sanatan Dharam High School for Boys and Salwan Sanatan Dharam High School for Girls which came into being in 1942 in Peshawar he realized his dream of education for all. The Salwan Boys School (1949), Salwan Girls School (1952) and Salwan Public School (1953) in New Delhi are the epitome of his commitment towards providing education to the children of resurgent India in the post-independence era.

Salwan Boys Senior Secondary School was started with the student teacher ratio being 34:1 the primary medium of instruction is English and Hindi as secondary medium. The school tries to provide best learning environment.

Classes from 6 to 12 run in this school. The current student strength of the school is approximately 995.

The school is affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Examinations (CBSE), New Delhi and boasts excellence in academics as well as extracurricular pursuits of its students. The school maintains a teacher student ration of 1:20 and the teachers are well trained to assist students with learning difficulties. The school offers a special education program for the visually impaired students and part-time special educators have been engaged for supplementing regular classroom instructions.

The school is affiliated with CBSE and offers classes from pre-primary to senior secondary. Students can opt between Commerce, Science and Humanities streams in class XI.

The school promotes a host of co-curricular activities including yoga, skating, art and craft, dance and music, drawing, painting, physical education, clay modeling, paper machine, creative drawing and art education, among others.
