As parents we just want to have the best for our child. Be it a bicycle or a birthday dress. Settling down for something mediocre will always give us an itch. Our preferences are equally vibrant like our little ones imagination. We discover the possibilities of getting a room remodeled with a castle in it for our princess, or try to bring the whole Ferrari world for our car crazy sonny. We just need the best for them. This preference of ours will be like doubled in degree when it comes to choosing the right school. Settling for just one and two..? such parents might never exist. We search for a minimum of 8 to 10 schools which might possibly be the best. Innumerable hours of internet surfing, burning midnight oils to submit the online application for the schools who have this rule of ‘the first 300 applications will have an upper hand’, visiting the schools personally – by taking a day off under your sick leave cap. You will turn the world topsy-turvy to achieve your goal of giving your offspring the perfect place and providing them with the precise pristine things which you may be exempted of.
Choosing schools for our little ones takes in a lot of R&D from parents. The curriculum, fee, faculty, infrastructure, facilities, exposure, security, technology inclination, parents reviews and the most important thing…friends and relatives’ feedback. We Indians equally rely on our near and dear to even buy Bhindi from that place who sells it for a better price [and gives some free extras], to consulting a good school for our child. Comparing the schools based on many such requirements also includes one of the prime factors which is the legacy or the lineage the school holds.
India has some of best schools which are as old as the ones established in 1700s and 1800s, which not only are old and old fashioned but even to this day maintain the same decorum and the hold their heads high up in dignity and praise for the unmatched academic excellence they render each year. No matter how many ever new school buildings get erected; the old institutions with their period-time pedagogy is still in vogue. Ironically these old schools brighten up the values which are ever new, fresh and so long lasting that that they never age in spite of several revolutions the earth fulfills. So what makes some parents still vouch for these old and established institutions over the newbies? Is it just their love for the Gothic or English architecture, the good old stiff discipline or to just make sure that their child studies in the same in which they did? लोको भिन्न रुचि:…The world is filled many people with umpteen preferences. Lets try to catch up some of the obvious and some of the rarest reasons as to why the preference of an established school is greater than compared to the new ones?
Choosing Best Boarding School – Edustoke
There might me around 1000 engineering colleges in India, but why is it that IIT still a dream option? No matter how many ever foreign universities you tweak to get into, studying in IIM will always be your prime aim. The legacy speaks for itself. Today, this is the era of Google search and Educational Reviews of various sites, but there are few such institutions which requires no search nor any introductions. Such is the reputation created by some of the oldest institutions in India which is still going rock solid in comparison with the newer schools. The contemporary institutions on the other hand might be well equipped with respect to the latest versions of education enabling elements like sophisticated infrastructure, e Learning platforms or even offer some amazing facilities when compared to the latter one. But as they say “Practice makes a man perfect”, these institutions must work hard to earn the respect and the repute which is earned by the old schools much earlier than the mere conception of the latest education system.
The Factors Necessary For a Good School
Its a simple thing followed by Indian mothers that they rely on their grandmother’s tips to cure their children’s ailing as an initial step. This is because of the “Tried and Tested Methods” often fetch expected good results. We cant take risk with our children, can we? When it comes to choosing a school in yester years, it was usually relying on the reviews and the suggestions by our relatives and friends. Mr. Rao suggests that his son goes to this school which is great with academic and co-curricular exposure. This places a pre occupied assumption inside Mr. Ali who is Mr. Rao’s colleague. This was the usual scenario when we went for the school. It’s only now that we browse in for testimonials and online ratings and reviews of the school. Its always a win when the users find reliable sources providing their valuable feedback about the schools. This holds extremely well in case of some old, well established schools who have already made their amazing mark in the field when compared to the new ones who have to really work hard to get in to that stiff arena of striking gold in public reviews. The primitive method of word of mouth still is a winner which for sure has satisfaction of the parent as a result of this admission completion. But when it comes to the newer institutions, it may require few more years to make its mark to win this battle of satisfaction versus speculation.
While checking for options it is always an advisable solution to go with the best one among the rest. This is one place where the newbies experience a lag as the known school wins the race on the convenience track. Choosing a school based on the reviews in the internet, suggestions by the known circle of friends or relatives for sure holds a comfortable place in our mind than pondering over the thoughts of looking in to a new school to “explore” the better side of it. Long queues outside these prestigious institutions during the admission time is the simple example to show how many parents prefer an old school over a new one.
School old or new, the education, the facilities and the curriculum matter the most for any given successful institution. Providing just the bare minimum will not make any school less better than the one which has the top notch facilities. What constitutes a good school is the teamwork by the management, teachers, understanding parents and well mannered disciplined students.
