National Academy for Learning, Bangalore

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Established in 1994 by Dr. K.P. Gopalkrishna, National Academy for Learning is a part of the prestigious National Public group of schools. An exclusive, international school located in Basaveshwarnagar, West Bengaluru, they are a co-educational, day boarding unit. Throughout their journey, they have delivered consistently high academic standards with several Top in Country and Top in World Cambridge awards coming our way.

NAFL were set up as a bridge between schools following the Indian educational system and those following various international curricula, thereby allowing children from different academic backgrounds to settle in well with our flexible, progressive learning environment.

NAFL is a private co-educational day-boarding school offering kindergarten to class XII education. The school offers a low student-teacher ratio resulting in an interactive learning atmosphere.

The curriculum offered at NAFL is based on the requirements of both Indian and international education systems. Following a syllabus that has been carefully planned and frequently updated, there is structure to the learning programme along with ample flexibility, thereby giving creativity, critical thinking and involvement in the subject scope to make each topic/ theme interesting and unique. This makes the learning process exciting and spontaneous.

NAFL is affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education. Until class IX, the school follows its uniquely developed curriculum. In classes X-XII, the CBSE syllabus is strictly adhered to. NAFL is also accredited by ULES (University of Cambridge Local Examinations Syndicate) to deliver its IGCSE (International General Certificate of Secondary Education) programme.

Co-Scholastic Program  is an on-going part of the curriculum, wherein children are inducted, age-appropriately, into various games and sports. From coordinating motor, visual and mental skills in the little ones, to trying out for the senior school basketball and soccer teams, the children imbibe the rules and spirit of various team games while also fostering team spirit, school and House loyalties and sportsmanship. Organised games continue for an hour after school closes for the day, for those who are interested to stay back. Regular coaching in basketball and soccer are offered. Field and track events culminate in an annual sports meet—one for the junior school, and one for the senior.
