Mayo College Girls is an amalgamation of excellence, striking a balance between traditional and modern education with a constant endeavour to move ahead in the quest for knowledge. At Mayo College Girls all students are provided with an open environment to students for expressing their creativity and enhancing their skills.
History
Mayo College Girls was a product of the resolution taken by the General Council and the Board of Governors to start an exclusive residential school for girls in the lavishly spread Polo Ground and later as playing ground and farmland.Established in the year 1988 Mayo College, Girls strives to meet the vision envisaged by the founders.
Academics
Consisting of classes IV to XII, the school is affiliated to the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination, one of the All – India patterns of Secondary Education recognized by the government of India. The council conducts two public examinations in March each year –one at the end of standard X for which it awards the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) and the other at the end of Standard XII for which it awards the Indian School Certificate (ISC).
Class periods are 40 minutes each, seven periods a day, six days a week for 240 working days per year.
Infrastructure
The 46 acre structure located in Ajmer, has six boarding houses, three science and computer laboratories, resource centre, a geography laboratory, NIIT Nguru’s MathLab, an audio – visual room, an activity block, a home science laboratory, library, robotic lab, R.O Softener Plants, a Saraswati temple for contemplation and two swimming pools. The School boasts of a grand Auditorium and an open Air Stage and a School Mess. There are Basket Ball and Tennis Courts, Hockey, Soccer, Handball, Athletic fields, shooting range and a Riding area.
Activities
At Mayo College Girls there ample facilities for sports and games and each of them are supported by able coaches that guide the students.
