The International School Bangalore (TISB) was envisaged in the year 2000 by the school’s Chairman, Dr K P Gopalkrishna. A fine visionary and a great leader in the field of education. Dr Gopalkrishna is also the founding Chairman of The National Public Schools (NPS) which have become a benchmark that many schools seek to replicate under his able guidance.
The first NPS school was opened in 1959 in Rajajinagar, Bangalore and was followed by further schools in Bangalore, Chennai, Mysore and following an invitation by the Government of Singapore, NPS International Singapore was opened in 2008.

The primary years (3 to 11 year olds) learn on the pattern of the National Curriculum for England and The Cambridge International Primary Programme. The secondary years (11 to 15 year olds) when the student-led activities are increasingly discipline-based in preparation for the Cambridge International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) Examination in class X. In classes XI and XII, the school follows the IB Diploma Programme.
The 140 acre, beautifully landscaped campus located NAFL Valley, Whitefield Bangalore has all modern day facilities for the students.
