Kendriya Vidyalaya is a central school affiliated to the CBSE board. Primarily built for the kids of government employees, the school also serves other sections of the society. The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan had 20 schools in 1963. With time, this number has increased to 1,248 in 2021 with 1,245 in India and three schools abroad. The advertisement for KV admissions is released in February and applications begin in the last week of February with April as the last date for applications.
