History
In the year 1996, The Chinmaya International Residential School was inaugurated by Pujya Swami Chidanandaji, President of ‘The Divine Life Society’.
The thought of starting an International School in India was dreamt by the great Visionary and Spiritual Master, Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda. This idea received an overwhelming response from all over the world.
Academics
Chinmaya International Residential School offers CBSE from grades 5 to 12 and IB for grades 11 to 12. A nicely grouped small class size allows the teachers to give individual attention to the students and provide them with ample support in the evenings too. The children get regular feedback and guidance from their teachers and their progress is carefully monitored. Parents’ are also given the opportunity to discuss their child’s academic development.
Infrastructure
Situated near Coimbatore in Siruvani, India, in the foothills of the Western Ghats, Chinmaya International Residential School is spread across a 78-acre campus.
The dormitories are spacious and well-ventilated. The common rooms are equipped with televisions, music systems, reading materials and a number of indoor games.
The school also has a full time Resident Medical Officer who is in charge of a well-equipped and modern clinic-cum-dispensary.
At the School students can enjoy the facility of a large swimming pool with an automatic water purifying system. They can also spend time at the state-of-the-art multipurpose gymnasium and fitness centre.
The school assembly is held at the Auditorium daily and this hall is decorated by students and staff whenever there is a festival.
