The School was started as an S.S.L.C. Coaching Home with one candidate in 1956 by Sri.K.S.Chandrasekhariah. This led to the opening of Middle School on 30th January 1956 with Kannada as Medium of Instruction. Later on 1.6.1959, it was upgraded to Vijaya High School with Kannada and English as Media of Instructions. Then onwards Kannada Primary and Nursery sections were also added during 1960. All are recognized and aided by the Government of Karnataka.Every grand edifice has a humble beginning and so is it with VEIT. The first stepping stone was the beginning of Vijaya Kannada Nursery school way back in 1954. It started functioning in a rented building with a large open space thanks to the exemplary generosity of Late Smt. D. Subbamma. In the arduous task of building the institution sustained moral support and visiol'lary guidance were provided to Sri. K.S. Chandrasekhariah by eminent previous presidents late. Sri. P.V. Poor campus with lack of facilities.
My children are constantly being challenged personally and academically, and there's no where else the'd rather be.
Extremely strong academics, very supportive teachers with few exceptions and excellent staff..
Very good school, academically challenging, diverse, easy to make friends.
No complains. My family is very pleased with this school.
