About School: S.L.S. RESIDENTIAL PUBLIC SCHOOL is a Composite Nursery, Primary, Higher Primary and Secondary School. It is being run by Lakshmi Sreenivas Educational Trust, started on 2nd May 2003. The School possesses well equipped building with three acres play ground at the out skirts of Devanahalli Town. The School has spacious classrooms. The School gives distinctive training in Karate, Yoga, Western dance, Bharatanatyam, Drawing and Computer. The School has also provided Van facility to Devanahalli town and surrounding villages. AIM OF THE SCHOOL The aim of the school is to fulfil the educational needs of the children of rural background and make them to face the current competitive world with courage and confidence. CURRICULUM The School is recognised by the Govt. of Karnataka. The Medium of Instruction is English. The school follows State syllabus. CO - CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES AND HOUSE SYSTEM In order to develop a healthy competitive spirit and a sense of social awareness, the pupils are divided into four houses namely Red, Blue, Green & Yellow. CO - CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES Every Saturday various activities like public speaking quiz, debate, essay writing, drawing, recitation, athletics and games are conducted. UNIFORM The uniform must conform to the pattern and colour prescribed by the school. Special uniforms may be prescribed for games , Sports etc. Wearing of full school uniform is compulsory. No excuses will be accepted for any missing part of it. FEE Parents are requested to comply with the fee payment promptly on or before the due dates. The payment of fee and corresponding due dates are mentioned below : Tuition fee and Van fee should be paid in four terms. * The first term tuition fee and van fee should be paid on or before 30th June. * The second term tuition fee and van fee should be paid on or before 30th September. * The third term tuition fee and van fee should be paid on or before 31st December * The fourth term tuition fee and van fee should be paid before FA 4 in February. TESTS AND EXAMINATION FA-1, FA-2, FA-3, FA-4 TESTS And SA-1, SA-2 Examination will be held. In their own interest pupils are advised not to absent them selves for any test or examination. In case of absentees no re-examination will be conducted. A WORD TO PARENTS AND GUARDIANS Parents and Guardians are requested to go through the prospectus carefully and co-oparate with the management of the school duly observing all the Rules and Regulation of the school to maintain the discipline and decorum of the school. ADMISSION Admission is done according to availability of seats. However the right of admission is reserved. Every candidate must be introduced by parents / guardian in person who will be responsible for the good conduct of the candidate. Application for admission should be made in the prescribed form duly accompanied by a transfer certificate, in case of fresh admission. A FEW GUIDELINES TO THE PARENTS 1. Parents are not permitted to meet pupils during school hours. 2. Parents are not permitted to go in or wait near the classrooms 3. Parents must inform the school if there is any change in their address. 4. Parents may meet the H.M., Teachers or management at the stipulated time to discuss matters concerning the progerss of their wards. 5. Parents are requested to be co-operative with the staff to ensure the progress of their children by paying attention to their regularity, punctuality and discipline and by taking active interest in their wards' work. They should check the diary daily and see that the home work is done properly. 6. Parents or guardians are requested to examine the progress reports carefully and pay additional attention to see that the children make special efforts to study those subjects in which they are weak.
