About School: Mr. Hoonseinbhoy Laljee and several persons formed the Darul?Uloom Trust in 1920 in order to build a school on the model of Harrow & Eton. The Darul?Uloom Muslim High School, started in 1920 in Panchgani , in the Bungalow of the Nawab of Wai with only 30 students on its roll. The trust bought an estate of over 168 acres on the Panchgani?Mahabaleshwar road& the school was shifted there in 1922. In May 1958, The Darul Uloom trust was transferred to The Anjuman?I-Islam Trust, Bombay. A registered oragansation that manages a number of charities, orphanages and charitable institutions. During the Presidentship of legal luminary, late Mr. Akbar Peerbhoy and his noble wife, Mrs. Homai Peerbhoy, adopted the school and nurtured the Institution into a premier seat of learning for boys & girls from the world over.With a motto that says “Forward & Onward” the school strives to provide instructions of the highest standards. At Anjuman?I?Islam’s Public school, we aim to promote overall personalities, all talent and interests, to inculcate mutual trust.
