Group of Schools managed by The Tamilnadu Arya Samaj Educational Society which is registered under the Societies Act. It was established in 1970 and is affiliated to and fully recognized upto the class XII level by the C.B.S.E. New Delhi. With a highly qualified, competent and dedicated faculty, D.A.V.G.S.S.School has carved a niche for itself in the academic domains of the country.The Tamil Nadu Arya Samaj Educational Society, registered under Societies Act, is managing the D.A.V. Group of Schools.The first DAV School, at Gopalapuram, was established in 1970, and was bifurcated in 1995 and since then has been running in two different campuses, as D.A.V. Boys Senior Secondary School and D.A.V. Girls Senior Secondary School.D.A.V. Girls Senior Secondary School, Gopalapuram, has an excellent infrastructure with highly qualified, experienced and dedicated teaching staff.The CBSE examination results of AISSE (class X) and AISSCE (class XII) have been outstanding from the very beginning with a large number of subject centum, merit certificates and high subject averages. In 2006 and 2007 our students emerged the Chennai Toppers in the class X CBSE examination.The School has the scheme of general studies upto class X, all subjects being compulsory.The scheme of elective subjects is introduced from class XI. The subjects for studies upto class X are English/ Hindi / Tamil / Sanskrit (Sanskrit upto class X subject to sufficient number opting for the language), Science, Mathematics and Social Science.The subjects for internal assessment for classes IX and X are Art Education, Work Experience, Physical and Health Education. Art, Work Experience, Moral Education and Music are taught in primary and middle school classes.The medium of instruction in all classes is English for non-language subjects.
